2019.03.25 Fireworks Festival・Awa Odori
Naruto is known for their magnificent summer event where you can appreciate the most powerful fireworks available. The “Naruto City Fireworks Festival Competition” is Tokushima Prefecture’s largest fireworks display, and is held on August 7th every year.
Tokushima is also the birthplace of “Awa Odori”. It is a traditional Japanese entertainment dance that is over 400 years old. The top dance groups of the prefecture perform at the “Naruto Awa Odori” from August 9th to 11th.
