Indigo Workshop Futa Ai

ふたあい

- “JAPAN BLUE” -. Indigo dye is known worldwide as Japan’s blue. Tokushima is the centre of this indigo dye and the tradition has been handed down through generations. The “Indigo Workshop Futa Ai” is run by indigo dye artist “Futa Ai Masanori Harada”. “I don’t want people to just think of indigo as a traditional beautifully deep natural color, but also as a modern interior color that can breathe a new life into things”, Harada thinks as he continues his production lifestyle passionately. At this workshop you can experience tie-dyeing your own handkerchief (reservation required). Come and make your own original design.
